Half Hour Lessons (one per week) ~ Varies per instructor but is typically $20.00 to $22.50/ a lesson

Lessons are scheduled on a month to month basis and each student will receive a tuition statement.

All lessons missed due to student illness, emergencies and vacation are required to be made-up; credit will not be issued.  The only exceptions are major holidays, when the teacher is on vacation or if the student misses their lesson as a “no call/no show” (in this case the lesson and its payment are forfeited). We require a minimum of 2 weeks notice to discontinue lessons; please refer to your teacher’s policies.

Note: Any cancellation or missed lesson without 24 hours notice is considered a “no call/no show”.

Practice is very important at all levels of musical education. While various techniques and pieces require additional practice time, my students must put in a minimum of 30 minutes at least five days a week. As the student’s abilities expand, I recommend them stepping up to no less than 60 minutes of practice time. Students should certainly be encouraged to “play” their guitar after their regularly scheduled practicing. But the primary difference between playing and practicing is that practice requires focus and working towards a deliberate goal. Playing is for fun and enjoyment and as time goes on, practice and playing will become more intertwined.
Students must notify their instructor at least 2 weeks in advance if they plan on discontinuing lessons.

FAQS

How much do lessons cost?

The instructors at Maineville Music Academy are independent contractors and they set their own rates.  But most teachers charge $20 for each 30 minute lesson.  Billing is done on a month to month basis.

How often do you have recitals and where are they?

We have a recital at Graeters ice cream parlor every 3 months.  Each student who performs receives one free ice cream.  We also perform at Willis Music in Kenwood every 3 months and use their Steinway concert grand piano, a $92,500 instrument!

And throughout the year we perform at church festivals, Hamilton Township Fest, Applefest, etc…
